The Grouse's Nest

Scotland

The Grouse's Nest is a collection of small ski resorts centered on the iconic Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands.  This is ideal cluster for you if you want to combine your winter sports trip with some whisky tasting, castle touring and munro bagging!

Although not as snow sure as their mainland European counterparts, the resorts here offer a fun and different way to explore these historic landscapes.

Glenshee

Glenshee has earned the nickname 'the 3 valleys of Scotland' and when all lifts are running offers one the largest terrains in Britain.  It's 3,504 ft of mountain adventure that beckons to skiers and boarders alike. From invitingly easy to the surprisingly steep, Glenshee offers the most extensive skiing and snowboarding in Scotland.

Experienced skiers can test their skills on two excellent black runs at Glenshee including the infamous, mogul field  'Tiger Bumps' which has been a formidable part of the Scottish ski experience for years.

Venue for the 1985 Smirnoff British Speed Skiing Championships, Glenshee's other black, on the left hand face of Glas Maol, is still as exhilarating today as it was then.
